Alec + Josh

While we missed the deadline for last year’s Christmas newsletter, Josh and I were thrilled to celebrate the holidays with some news - a little one joining the family in June 2022. The year truly flew by between welcoming niece Wylie, prepping for own baby, and then introducing Liam Alexander Newell to the world.

In January, we brought home a new four-legged friend: Fergus, more commonly known as Gus (or Gustav, Guster, etc). Big brother Alfie was very excited to have a playmate, although as Gus quickly outgrew him, Alfie wasn’t so sure about this dynamic. The midnight bathroom breaks, cleaning up of bodily fluids and puppy howls turned out to be excellent practice for the upcoming baby!

In his first few months of life, Liam ventured to Los Angeles, to Tahoe, and to Jackson to spend some time with Grandad and Bubu (Andy and Leslie). Already an experienced traveler, with more to come!

As we approach the holidays, Liam has been working on his first tooth, taking swim lessons and starting on his first taste of solid food (avocado). Alec and Josh are loving becoming parents to the human baby and dog babies alike, and feeling extra grateful for all of the amazing support from family and friends.
